Hayley R. Bowman

I am a historian and the 2022-23 Eisenberg Institute of Historical Studies Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan. I’m broadly interested in women, religion, and place/space in the early modern Spanish world. My research engages with questions of gender, materiality, iconography, and theology in the premodern Atlantic, especially knowledge pathways and experiences of religious women in the seventeenth-century Spanish monarquía.
